麥家碧畢業於香港理工大學設計系，後與澳洲著名兒童故事作家Margaret Wild合作，推出首本個人作品《Belinda’s Blanket》。其後與謝立文共同創作麥嘜第一本漫畫故事書《成年人童話》並創辦兒童刊物《黃巴士》，先後共出版麥嘜麥兜系列圖書逾200本，各式譯本亦發行至中、台、日、韓及法國等地。她同時為麥兜系列動畫擔任美術總監，參與的電影多次榮獲國際影展及獎項肯定，包括：三度獲頒台灣金馬獎「最佳動畫長片」及法國安錫國際動畫節（2003）「最佳動畫長片大獎」等。

After graduating from the Department of Design of Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Alice Mak worked with a renowned Australian children’s story writer, Margaret Wild, to launch her first book “Belinda’s Blanket”. Later, she joined hands with Brian Tse to create McMug’s first comic story book “Fairy Tales for the Adults”, and founded the children’s magazine “Yellow Bus”. Since then, more than 200 books from the McMug and McDull series have been published, and translated versions have been distributed to Mainland China, Taiwan, Japan, South Korea and France. As the art director of the animated films of McDull, Alice’s movies have gained recognition in international film festivals and won “Best Animation Feature” in three different editions of the Golden Horse Awards, and “Best Feature Film” at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival in 2003.
